Then I will cross into Ecuador and follow the Andean Mountain. I will continue into Colombia to see the Zona Cafetera. Then I will go to to
Cartagena to chill out on the Caribbean. I'll see Parque Nacional Tayrona and Ciuad Perdida before bussing from Santa Marta,
Colombia to Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Then I' ll head to Mérida and hang out awhile before heading to Salto Angel and

The very first step of my trip: Madrid, a really great city!
I arrived on Thursday and have been spending some nice days here with my brother's family.
@Julien: many thanks for introducing me to Madrid Saturday night's fiesta!
I visited yesterday El Escurial, which was a historical residence of the king of Spain, built by Phillippe II in the XVIc.
The impressive cross you can see on the pictures is the monumental civil war memorial conceived by Spanish dictator Franco and built by
political prisoners (at least 14 killed and many injured): the Basilica de la Santa Cruz del Valle de los Caidos. The place is a tourist site and every year marked by memorial celebrations
by Franco' s nostalgic supporters.
And today is the big day: flight to Buenos Aires tonight! ;-)

I had a great flight to Buenos Aires and enjoyed since a few day the life here. The city center look pretty European (some says BA is a mix
between Paris, Madrid and London – the city center at least). Among all the locals I've met, many have a European background, especially Italy or Germany.
My hostel is in Florida street, the big commercial street, heart of the city.
I have seen the impressive Avenue del 9 Julio (with 10 lanes on each sides), el puerto Madero, la Boca (a poor city district but famous
because of his stadium and soccer team), San Telmo (some nice bars, squares...), the cemetery in Recoleta district etc...and of course I have already intended to some really enjoyable Tango
shows.
Night life is especially great, and for this reason many tourists and especially Brazilians come here for vacation. And I am fascinated how
friendly most of them are!

Hola chicos/chicas y familia!
A new week in Buenos Aires and a lot of fun. I enjoyed a drum concert, as well as many drinks in bars and discos (I wonder sometimes when
people do sleep here. Most of the discos open at 2am). I had one Tango lesson, it was very interesting: I wish to start this dance when I am over with Salsa!
I have now started to learn in a more serious way Spanish. I can now communicate a bit with people (slowly but I can speack!).
I
stay now one more week to finish my Spanish lessons.
In the album Buenos Aires I have added some pictures of the city and of some friends I have met here.
What's more.. ah yes, I saw Claudia Shiffer and Karl Lagerfeld doing a foto shooting in San Telmo.
Besos!
